The questions provided in this application are kept up to date, ensuring relevance and accuracy. The app covers a range of elements essential for those involved in maritime radio operation:
<ul>
 <li>Element 1 - Basic Radio Law: This element covers fundamental radio laws and operating practices that every maritime radio operator should know. To pass, candidates must correctly answer a minimum of 18 out of 24 questions.</li>
 <li>Element 3 - General Radiotelephone: Pertaining to electronic fundamentals and techniques necessary for adjusting, repairing, and maintaining radio transmitters and receivers. To succeed, examinees need 75 correct responses out of 100 questions.</li>
 <li>Element 6 - Advanced Radiotelegraph: This element involves technical, legal, and operational matters relevant to various classes of radiotelegraph stations. A passing grade requires at least 75 correct answers out of 100 questions.</li>
 <li>Element 7 - GMDSS Radio Operating Practices: Candidates are assessed on their knowledge of GMDSS radio operating procedures and practices. The exam comprises questions on various sub-systems, with a passing grade set at a minimum of 75 correct responses out of 100 questions.</li>
 <li>Element 7R - Restricted GMDSS Practices: Focused on GMDSS radio operating procedures applicable to ships exclusively navigating in sea area A1. Candidates must achieve at least 38 out of 50 correct answers to pass.</li>

The FCC mandates that only holders of a relevant FCC-issued commercial operator license can perform certain transmitter operation, maintenance, and repair tasks on ship, aircraft, and international fixed public radiocommunication stations. To acquire or upgrade an FCC commercial operator license, individuals must pass an examination conducted by Commercial Operator License Examination Managers (COLEMs).
